Since the ranking was launched in 2013, the researchers of the Sustainable Development Solutions Network-the United Nations nonprofit designed to push for broader measures of global happiness and health, have demonstrated time and time again that the happiest countries have high levels of trust and are more resilient when a crisis hits.
